Filled in for Don Von Hagen on the “Angela and the Grey Hares” team. Was planning on a slightly slower pace, but the relay format chosen encouraged a different result. Ran with Steve Rothwell, Angela Fruik, and Jeffrey Husen. We chose to alternate after every lap, which, while not perfect, worked well for the day and conditions. Everyone performed admirably and we had an excellent time, despite the generally rainy weather…

Props to Steve for bringing a tent to keep us dry, a tarp to keep our stuff dry, and food/drink to keep us warm. Others hanging out under the big tan top… Susan Trout, Sarah Ruff (Happy Birthday!), Nick Cook, Conner Cook, Mike Papazoglou, and Lizzie Sager. An excellent team of teams!

In case any wonder, since the entry included warmup time, then had a “Race” type added on Strava, it takes all time into account…including the time waiting to run the next lap!
