Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Half Marathon in Gibsonville. Very runnable course. Rolling mogul hills throughout much of the route, with the occasional long uphill or downhill. Totally achievable and really nice views along the way. Plan on a certain amount of disorientation, as the route is a series of loops or lollipops that leave one guessing as to a direction at any given time…
Great group of folks attending… Martin Wileman, Laura Maile, amy berkman, Raheleh Ghasseminia, David Montefiori, and Whitney StCharles. All had solid runs on a fun but challenging course. Kudos to Raheleh for continuing on in her impressive running improvement, and the same to Whitney for finishing the race despite ankle complications!
Further congratulations to David, Craig Helms, Katherine Graham, and Martin for placing in their age groups! Love our running community…
My only comment on the course itself is that after finishing the half marathon at 13.91 miles, I was asking…WTF?
