Ten mile trail race in Greensboro, North Carolina. The best description for the trail is...a mile of flat ground and road before entering a constantly rolling trail. Nothing too steep, nothing too strenuous, but pushing and pulling against you the entire way. Makes for an excellent workout run.

Before the ten mile race started, watched amy berkman kick it off at high speed for the Northern Trails Marathon. Was wondering how she was going to perform, as I saw that there were what appeared to be several very fast female runners. Congrats to Amy for placing first female overall (3:42:50.21)!

Started the ten mile race with a number of fast folks. Apparently there were several that started at the same time who were moving so quickly that I never saw them shift into hyperdrive...such as Lewis Braswell from Gibsonville (1:17:44) and Doug Simpson from Greensboro (1:21:14)!

Overall, felt good about the result. Managed to cheer on a number of runners...seeing them come into the finish always brightens my day. Well worth a run if you have not had a chance to experience the trail...
