Putting it right out front…so happy to run the half marathon versus full. Total props to everyone who completed the Richmond Marathon. Humid and warm were the operative words.

PR for the Richmond Half Marathon. 1:36:15, according to net time. Happy with the run, taking into account the lack of planning and humidity.

Started off at the right pace and under different weather, might have PR'd. Joined the 1:35:00 pace group and hung with them theough mile ten. Great pacers working under challenging conditions. Talked to one after who said that he felt they were off on pacing due to a watch failing, but as a person with them…never even noticed.

Had the luxury of cheering on half and full runners with Joshua Lowry, Chris Fleming, and amy berkman for two hours at mile marker 12/25. Had a blast. Watching the expressions of runners coming by, the heat and humidity took it’s toll on many. Hopefully the cheer squad lifted the spirits and steps of a percentage of the people…

As always, Richmond put on an exceptional event. Now, if the city could do something about the hotel prices (grin).
