So is it further if Garmin measures less distance on the exact same run the second time around? I say yes…because you run the same race despite knowing the challenge…

The race was a physical and mental challenge, just like last year. Strange, what with the course remaining the same (grin). Saw Martin, Laura, Ilona, Susan, Josh, Kevin…and a host of folks met along the way… Thanks to Don Von Hagen for volunteering and cheering us on!

Ran the course differently this year but had no hope of catching Sam Guo. Such a strong runner…never even saw him on the route, probably because he was done before I was thinking about the finish line.

Had a great time. Part of that is the folks I ran with, part is the course, part is the challenge. One of the favorite scenes is Ryan from Illinois who finished and said, “Wow! This race was awesome…everything I was looking for…”

Funometer: 67.65% (adjusted). My ribling (runner sibling) kicked butt with two other strong runners and had a waaaaaaay higher funometer.

Took a more laid back approach. Apparently it worked, as I improved on last year’s result by three minutes. Pretty happy with the finish. On to the next…!
