It’s been a while since doing a multi-site set, so picked UNC cross country loop for the second five mile segment. Muscles were slow after the drive over from McDougle, but eventually loosened up.
The heat and humidity increased from the McDougle set, so took a relaxed approach. Good decision. Overall happy with the run, considering recent lower volume and weather.
Glutes, hamstrings, and calves all solid throughout. Noticed that the humidity was affecting my attitude towards the run, more than actually impacting the physical side. Thursday night, comparable mileage, but lower humidity made for a much more pleasant experience.
